General Membership Meeting (Nominations) 22 September 2001 at 1PM Meeting called to order at 1:15PM. 23 members, including President Graves, VP Fox, Secretary-Treasurer Apana, and Board members Ballard, Barnes, and Scafati in attendance. MSC to dispense with the reading of minutes due to their publication in past newsletters. Report of Secretary-Treasurer: Apana reported on the financial situation of the Local, membership rolls, and website statistics. Apana noted that dues reminders are sent via email and asked members to voice their ideas on retaining and recruiting members. Report of VP: Fox reported that the jingle department has doubled and continues to grow. She will be holing a brainstorming session with Rene Barge and jingle producers in the near future. $750,000 in wages are on recording contracts so far in 2001. Fox also reported on the STAR campaign recent success. Report of President: Graves noted that there are currently no grievances with the FPO, that Matt Corey has been appointed personnel manager of the BPO, and that the general manager of the PBO has recently resigned. He also noted that negotiating local theater scales at the national level as part of the Pamphlet B agreement is currently being discussed. New business: Nominations for Local 655 Office: For the Office of President: Peter Graves nominated by Scott Whitney; Brad Watson nominated by himself; Sonny Mange nominated by himself; and Johnny Padilla nominated by Margaret Butler. For the Office of VP: Lisa Fox nominated by Kurt Hagen and declared elected by acclimation. For the Office of Secretary-Treasurer: Jeffrey Apana nominated by Matt Corey and declared elected by acclimation. For the Office of Executive Board: Jake Luger nominated by Lisa Fox, Brad Watson nominated by himself; Margaret Butler nominated by Johnny Padilla; Guy Scafati nominated by Lisa Fox; Holly Ballard nominated by Michael Harp; Tina Raimondi nominated by Jeffrey Apana; Tim Barnes nominated by Eric Kerley; Rene Barge nominated by Lisa Fox; and Mike Harp nominated by Holly Ballard.
