Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 26-2, February 25, 2026, Virtual Meeting

Meeting called to order at 12:35 PM. Present: Hawley, Fuller, Apana, Aron, Corey, Kostic, Proctor, Williams; Bravo absent.

MMC to approve minutes of January 29, 2026 meeting.

Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report, membership rolls, bank balance data, finance report, and new members. Apana reported on members to be suspended for failure to pay annual dues; resolutions from the Small Locals Committee and SOCO to be presented at the AFM Convention; communications from IR Lack re: membership drives, board fiscal responsibilities, and audit; MPTF re: Musicians Unite Partnership; UNSIN re: partnership. Apana also reported on results of Orlando and Houston Local membership drives and changes to gmail.

VP Report: .Fuller reported on BRPS request to fire musicians; PBS advertising for new contractor.

President's Report: Hawley reported on IR audit; the need to organize and recruit; drafting letters to send to musicians to encourage membership; the need for 1-to-1 recruiting conversations.

Apana reminded the Board of Robert's Rules regarding agendas.

Committee Reports: Fuller reported that the Symphonic committee had been contacted regarding SFS contractor problems.

Special Orders: MMC to schedule executive board meeting for March 23, 2026 at 3:00 PM. MMC (moved by Hawley) to create a Nominating Committee, to task them with outreach to potential future officers, and to appoint Fuller, Merritt, Stein, Spinola, and K Rodriguez to the committee.  MMC (moved by Corey) to approve monthly financial report.

Unfinished Business: none.

New Business: MMC (moved by Apana) to request permission to conduct a membership drive during the second quarter of 2026. Motion by Apana to schedule a membership meeting; the motion was postponed until the next meeting.

Good and Welfare: Discussion of preparations for a membership drive. Discussion of job opening notice for PBS contractor.
