Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 23-09, November 15, 2023, Virtual Meeting
Meeting called to order at 12:35 PM. Present: Reskin, van Eck, Apana,
Aron, Corey, Fuller, Proctor; absent: Bravo, Kleiman.
MMC to approve minutes of October 17, 2023 meeting.
Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report,
membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on
correspondence from AFM re NEA grant prevailing wages requirement and
re change in instrument insurance carrier; MPTF re funding for Black
History, Womens History, and Jazz Appreciation months; TCO re NWS
side-by-side. Apana reported on attendance at the Broward State of the
Arts, on the draft of the 2024 budget, and on historical statistics of
Local finances and rolls. Van Eck departed at 1:05 pm.

Special Orders: MMC to schedule executive board meeting for December 20, 2023 at 12:30 PM.
Unfinished Business: MMC (moved by Apana) to verify poll granting a
wage scale variance for Salute to Vienna allowing for a $160 per
2.5-hour service rate (Aron opposed).
New Business: none.
Good and Welfare: Discussion of adding qr code to business cards with
link to membership application. Discussion of updating symphonic scales
chart. Discussion of posting audition notices and job openings for
organizations that do not have union contracts.
