MMC to approve minutes of May 9, 2014 meeting. Van Eck arrived at 11:37 AM.
Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report,
membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on
correspondence from AFM re jingle negotiations; OMC re online B4
filing; SSD re NWS fence negotiations. Aron arrived at 11:40 AM
Apana reported on reviews of recent orchestra 990 filings.
VP Report: none.
President's Report: Clippard reported on payment to musicians for Estefan PBS sessions and discrepancies in the pay rate.
Committee Reports: none.
Special Orders: MMC to schedule meeting for August 21, 2014 at
11:30 AM. MMC (moved by Clippard) to appoint Whitney, Dirgins-Friend,
Berger, and Spangler to the Election Committee.
Unfinished Business: none.
New Business: MMC (moved by Clippard) to schedule membership
meeting for September 9, 2014 at 11 AM. Discussion of MISO wage theft
claims; MMC (moved by Apana) to issue press release and urge boycott of
MISO.
Good and Welfare: discussion of upcoming elections. Discussion of
SFS delinquent wages. Discussion of Member Profiles column for
newsletter.
