Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 12-4, April 20, 2012 at 1:30 PM at Artserve
Meeting called to order at 1:35 PM. Present: Clippard, Apana, Holstein, Stanley, Van Eck.
MMC to approve minutes of March 2012 meeting.
Secretary-Treasurer's
Report: presentation of expense report,
membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on
suspended members, PBO auditions, new PBOOC member, and closing of FSP
and KWP. Kerley arrived at 1:39 PM.
Apana reported on AFM diversity survey, O1O concertmaster auditions. Kolcz arrived at 1:43 PM.
Vice President's Report: none.
President's
Report: Clippard asked the Board to help communicate what the Local
does for members, including paying for negotiations. Stanley asked
about orientations for new PBO members. Clippard noted that MSO
musicians have not been paid since the December concert. Bermann
arrived at 1:53 PM.
Clippard
reported that FSP musicians have not been paid since the January
concert. Bermann noted that 20 KWS musicians are still owed but that
current musicians have been paid.
Report of Committees: none.
Special Orders: MMC to schedule next meeting for June 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
Unfinished Business: MMC (moved by Apana) to appoint Apana and Miller
to 100th Anniversary committee. MMC (moved by Clippard) to appoint
Kolcz and Bermann to 100th Anniversary committee.
MMC (moved by Clippard) to suspend
the rules. Discussion of G Hale rejected ICSOM-L posting. Bermann asked
about email from Met Life regarding life insurance. Corcillo arrived at
2:12 PM.
Kolcz remarked about complaints about the AIL life insurance agents.
New
Business: MMC (moved by Stanley) to establish rate of ten percent of
service scale for live engagements that are wallcast live by closed
circuit.
Good
and Welfare: Apana noted that FGO lawsuit hearing will be next week.
Stanley noted that the BAA Lion King schedule does not include a day
off. Discussion of job security and solidarity. Corcillo departed at
3:10 PM.
Discussion of TCO residency and O1O firings.
