Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 07-1, 15 January 2007 at 10:00 am

Meeting called to order at 10:18 am. Present: Roitstein, Warner, Apana, Ballard, Chandler, Emery, Satterwhite; Parente excused.

MMC to approve minutes of December 2006 meeting.

Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of activities log, expense report, membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on communication from American Income Life; consensus to allow AD&D mailing but to request clarification that members are not obligated to purchase anything. Glansdorp arrived at 10:24 am.

Apana reported on new life members, issuing of recruitment credits, and unofficial audit of 2006 finances.

President's Report: presentation of written report. Roitstein reported that a promotional videotape was made of Spamalot; on his serving as panelist at Music Empowerment Conference; meeting with America's Childrens' Orchestra for Peace and their need for teachers; on new SRLA scales; and that Dreith has announced that work on the national recording database will speed up.

Symphonic Rep Report: presentation of written report. Apana and Ballard reported on issues with the Cleveland Orchestra and Pittsburgh Symphony; activities at FGO; and a proposed education/outreach program. The Board gave its encouragement in the development of this education/outreach program.

MPF Report: presentation of written report. Chandler reported on distributing scholarship information; sending information to MPF in support of grant-seeking activities.
