Biography
Cellist
Elizabeth Haberman Aron was a member of the New Jersey Symphony for
nine years, during which she performed at Carnegie Hall and accompanied
artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Luciano Pavarotti, and Itzhak Perlman. During
her time on the East Coast, she also played at the Lake George Opera
Festival and won numerous concerto competitions with Bloch’s Schelomo
and Saint Saen’s Cello Concerto No. 1. Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of
Music degree from the University of Maryland where she was the winner
of the Holmer Ulrich award for two consecutive years and performed
Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations with orchestra. She received her Master
of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music where she studied
with Bernard Greenhouse of the Beaux Arts Trio. While in New York,
Elizabeth also studied with Shecky Ballantine, Robert Gardner and
Yehuda Hanani. She is currently a member of the Miami City Ballet
Orchestra, (Opus One Orchestra), as well as the Scherzo Trio. Elizabeth
maintains a private teaching studio.
