Musicians of Broadway Across America voted in favor of ratifying a new five-year agreement. Wages will rise 18 percent in the first year and six percent in the second year. In the third year wages will rise one percent and doubling will increase by five percent for the first and second doubles, to 20 and fifteen percent, respectively. Wages will rise two percent in each of the final two years of the contract.
Palm Beach Opera Orchestra held auditions for a section cello opening and selected Axel Gonzalo Rojas Vallejos as a new member of the orchestra. Thanks to Chris Glansdorp, Suzie Kelly, Esther Platt, Dale Sandvold, and Carole Simmons for serving on the audition committee.
