The Orlando Ballet has named Bradley Renner as executive director. Renner has previously served as general manager and also director of development for the Joffrey Ballet and also as general manager of the Atlanta Ballet. He will assume his position in October.

Palm Beach Opera has engaged Anna Netrebko to perform at its benefit concert at the Breakers in February 2025. This will be her first performance in the United States since 2019. Most American institutions have refused to hire her because of her past support for Russian president Vladimir Putin and her refusal to criticize him despite the invasion of Ukraine and his anti-LGBTQ+ policies.

Musicians of the Charlotte Symphony have reached agreement on a new three-year contract. Wages will rise 13.5 percent over the life of the agreement, and an additional workweek will be added in the second year. By the final year of the agreement musicians will earn $53,709 for a 39-week season. Musicians will also receive additional support during their probationary period, with transparent and constructive feedback.

For the 2024-25 season, all Opera Philadelphia tickets will be $11. Patrons will have the option of paying more if they wish. New general director Anthony Roth Costanzo hopes this will help to democratize opera. This move follows the lead of other Philadelphia arts organizations, including Azuka Theatre and Curio Theatre, who have also experimented with pay-what-you-wish pricing.
