Election Report, December 15, 2023On October 1, 2023 notice was published for the nomination and election for the office of Vice President for the 2024-2026 term of office, as a result of no nominations for the office being received during the regular election for the 2024-26 term of office. The notice included the disclaimer that if a current Director were to be elected Vice President, nominations and elections would also be held for the resulting Director vacancy. At the November 28, 2023 Membership meeting, nominations were taken for the office of Vice President for the 2024-26 term of office. As the only nominee was Karen Fuller, she was declared elected by acclimation. As Fuller was Director-elect for the 2024-26 term, her position as Director became vacant, and nominations were taken to fill her vacated position as Director. Elena Alamilla and Lucian Williams were nominated for the position. As the membership meeting was a virtual meeting, and secret ballots are required for officer elections, a mail-ballot election was scheduled. On November 30, 2023 ballots were mailed to those members present at the November 28, 2023 membership meeting, with a return deadline of December 15, 2023. On December 15, 2023, Secretary-Treasurer Apana and President Reskin met to count to ballots. Twelve ballots were received. One ballot was marked spoiled as it was not placed inside a ballot envelope. Alamilla received two votes, and Williams received nine votes.
